2010: Earth Day Around the World

Recently updated on October 19th, 2017 at 11:20 pm

Earth Day began in 1970 as an annual celebration of the environment and as a time to assess what we still need to do to protect the natural resources of our planet.1 And though awareness has grown, no one would argue that we have a long way to go.

Here are some green tips we’re using at Next Day Flyers that are good to incorporate into any business that wants to become more environmentally-friendly:

  • Reduce gas consumption and pollution with employee telecommuting and by holding online meetings
  • Turn off Equipment to reduce energy costs up to 25%
  • Use computer/fax modem to avoid FAX printouts
  • Use fluorescent bulbs: figure out how much energy your business will save with this Light Bulb Energy Calculator

And now, in honor of Earth Day 2010, Next Day Flyers would like to present you with some of the celebrations, activities, and actions that people are taking across planet home.
