How to Customize Pie Boxes Online
Our online order calculator and 3D design tool make it easy to produce custom boxes tailored to your preferred size, material, color, quantity, and design. From premium product boxes to corrugated mailer and shipping boxes, we offer a wide range of box styles and printing options you can choose from.
Custom pie boxes come in three (3) types: product boxes, mailer boxes, and shipping boxes.
Product boxes are ideal for single items or pies with a lighter volume. Custom product boxes are either made of durable cardstock or thick corrugated cardboard. Foil stamping, spot UV, and embossing are available through custom quotes.
Mailer boxes are a popular choice for customer subscriptions and e-commerce deliveries. They’re made of thick corrugated cardboard to store multiple products in one box. Mailer boxes have front flap locks that make for a great unboxing experience.
Shipping boxes will protect your goods during transit. The corrugated cardboard material is excellent for printing and provides a cushion for high-volume deliveries and heavy equipment.
Choose from (2) types of materials:
- Cardstock material comes in a variety of thickness options. This is suitable for high-resolution printing because of its smooth and absorbent surface. It is not as thick as corrugated cardboard, but it’s perfect for small quantity food items and products with lighter volume.
- Corrugated cardboard is much thicker than cardstock and suitable for multiple products and items that require protection during shipping and handling. This is also a great option for frozen foods.
We offer cardstock material in 14 pt., 16 pt., and 18 pt. cardstock. The higher the number, the thicker the cardstock. For one whole pie, we recommend choosing at least 18 pt. cardstock.
Corrugated cardboard comes in either white or kraft brown, with both surfaces perfect for full-color printing.

Step 1. Select Your Box Specs. Use the order calculator to customize your box size, material, printed sides, and quantity. This will also automatically generate the price of your custom box order.
Step 2. Design Your Box. You can start customizing your box using our 3D online design tool. This helps you view a simulation of your box with dielines so you can access and design all sides of your packaging. After you save your design and confirm your order, someone from our prepress team will check and make sure your design is ready for printing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I design my custom box offline?
We have blank PDF dieline templates you can use on any offline design software like Adobe Illustrator. These blank templates show you the position of each panel, including the areas where your boxes will be cut and creased. To request a template, click Order Now & Receive a Dieline Template in the order calculator.
Can I print on both the inside and outside of the custom box?
Yes, you can print on both sides of the box. Under Printed Sides on the online calculator, select Outside & Inside - Full Color.
Can I get a printed sample of my corrugated box?
Yes, we can produce a sample box based on your specifications. Set the quantity to 1 on the order calculator of the box product page.
Will someone check my custom box design?
Yes, our prepress team reviews each submitted design before printing. You can also request a free PDF proof file before confirming your order for production. This allows you to see how your boxes would look as a finished product and check for any errors and necessary revisions. We recommend that you select free digital proofing to ensure your custom boxes will print according to your specifications.
